Fernando Rodriguez grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where his passion for food blossomed when his parents opened a restaurant in 1985. He is a proud graduate of Johnson & Wales University's esteemed culinary program. Chef Fernando's impressive experience includes roles at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Old Memorial Golf Club, and St. Pete's Power Design.
Now the executive chef at 1916 Irish Pub and Second Plate Catering, Chef Fernando has leveraged his diverse background to perfect the upscale bar menu at 1916's locations in Plant City, Lakeland, and Brandon, blending authentic Irish flavors with a contemporary twist. At 1916, there is a strong commitment not only to the art of food preparation but also to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Second Plate Catering offers a range of dining experiences, from casual buffets and food stations to elegant plated entrees, catering to every occasion. The restaurant proudly partners with the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce, PC Rotary Club, and the Florida Strawberry Festival.
